Computer Purchases

Well, December was quite a month when it came to buying stuff. With the usual Xmas buying I decided to put a little more on my plate.

I went to the MySpace classifieds on Dec 10. There I found a computer for sale that I have been wanting for a few months. I emailed the seller, Danyeal, and she called me and I sent her $480.00 through Western Union adding another $23.99. She picked it up and said she would send the computer that day on the 11th. Well she first sent a screwy tracking number. So I emailed her and she sent another one which also was no good. By now I'm getting a little ansy. She won't return my calls or emails. So Xmas comes, I did not receive the computer at all and no correspondence from this girl. So then all of a sudden I get an email from a Donna on MySpace wantting to know how I know her. I emailed back and said i had tried to buy a computer from her. So we talk and she tells me that Danyeal screwed her and a cop and a preacher out of money for Nintendo Wii's at the same time. She says a detective is after her and will call me.

I only hear a little from Van, the preacher and Donna. And then the detective finally calls after New Years and wants to know my story. I tell him and he tells me that she has done this before and he is looking for her to arrest her for this. So I send him everything I had copied off the computer.

So on Wednesday this week, he calls and tells me she has been arrested for sure and that there is probably 8 people total she scammed this time. It might take a year to get my money back.

It's true: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

So in the meantime I went ahead and bought the computer I had wanted. $1150.00. Oh well I am happy now.
