Capacity & Paper Wasp

I found yet another new artist; Theo Ellsworth. He writes a zine called Capacity, and another called the Paper Wasp. These are very simple, small works of art. He sketches and draws the best stuff. Lots of off the wall ideas. Spaceships, Space men, strange animals. He ties them together and forms the comic book like stories into booklets. My favorite part is everything is black and white.

New Book

Wow did I ever find a great book. It is called, "A Humument", it's a cross between A Human Document. This was a real book in the 1800's and then in 1960 (?) a guy actually created altered text on each page and changed the title. WOW!! It is something. Each page is a piece of art. I love it.

Altered Text

I have discovered a new art form, Altered Text. You cover all of the text on a page except for a few choice words and then join them with little streams or rivers. Kool. I want to learn how to do this really soon.

Art creation is slow right now. Too much work at work.

Getting Closer to the Real Thing

During this weekend I actually went to the Queen Bean, a small Coffee House to write. Has a great atmosphere, so I finally made it there. Did I write?, well not alot but I had iced tea and sat and relaxed and thought about writing. So you must admit, I did get close to the real thing.

This Will Come To Happen

OK...........I am making a committment. I am stopping in at The Queens Bean at least one evening a week after work to work on my journal. Now with Drive Cam up and running I may not get to too often, but I am going to really try. I am more inspired to write at a library, bookstore or coffee house setting than in my home or office. I will work on making colorful journal pages at home and create on them at that great think tank. I know this is what I need.

I Am Writing Again

I am trying to get words down on paper and that is so hard when I am so busy. But I actually painted some journal pages yesterday to write on and I have done a little. I will do better I promise.
Fun just trying to get into Blogger each time.
